Dear Di, We are so sorry for your bereavement. Words are not enough. We hope that you find some solace at being with the family. Beautiful remembrance.
Much love, Lesley (NSW)
Goodbye Kris, you were a beautiful soul, we’ll miss you dearly
I loved your wit, your intelligence, your slow careful way of speaking and the surprising things you said – you had a biting sense of humour when you railed against the world’s stupidity, which made me smile, ‘cause you did it so gently, so lovingly and so completely.
You had a great sense of fun – of finding joyful things to do and including others in your adventures. You were fun to be with. I’m so glad to have known you.
You were loving, you were vital, you felt deeply. You loved your friends – the more outrageous the better. We weren’t outrageous, but you saw our uniqueness and valued us and made us feel loved and special. We’ll miss you darling Kris, with all our hearts.
Beautiful tribute Michael.
Dear Diana
So very sorry to hear of the passing of Kris.
What a remarkable life she had, much of it unknown to me due to tyranny of distance.
I am so very glad I was able to have a very rewarding long phone call with her early this year, was full of beans, a totally enjoyable chat.
Kris has made her mark on this old world, well done.
Kris, every time I hug a tree I will be thinking of you and hearing your music in amongst the leaves , Peta
Farewell Kris. I will always remember your bright and positive smile and your gentle soul.
Dear Kris, sorry to hear about your departure from this world. We lost touch but I know ypu were always there. Would have loved to have spent more time with you. You were amazing and I cry for you

It really is most of a lifetime ago when we went to college balls together. Wright College, University of New England. And it was good to catch up with you when you came to visit me in Townsville – 10 years ago? You were such a gentle person. A big hug, your old friend, Charlie
Michael Scott said it perfectly – thank you Michael. Kris you were always and will continue to be an inspiration for me. Your intelligence, your sparkle, your persistence, and your bravery when you had those cramps in Pilates! I am very sad you had to move on and I am very grateful to have had the good fortune to know someone so wonderful.
Kris has joined the realm of the ancestors and Lurline and Jo feel sad with a strong sense of loss. We will be bidding Kris farewell from Alice Springs and we send our love and condolences to Di and all the family and to all Kris’s friends. I loved Kris’s incisive and insightful analysis of so many aspects of life through our Barely There Bookclub. Kris was a pretty special person. Lurline Comerford and Jo Justo
Dear Diana,
How sad that Kris has left us. As her cousin I knew her through almost all phases of her rich but varied life. I truly appreciated her wit, insight and honesty and how she battled through difficulty. She loved our earth’s ecology, and was so knowledgeable about all natural things. Irreplaceable but her memory will be with us always.

Dear Kris,
I had the good fortune to meet and get to know your kind sense of humour, organisational skills, and boundless enquiring mind in the early 70s. You were a happy member of our huge household of exuberant youths at Hillsdon Rd, Taringa. Our parties were legend and you were famous for your exuberant brilliant and long lasting dancing on the huge stump in the living room. We were all fortunate to live, study and work in such a beautiful, generous, and lively environment like UQ. You are sorely missed by the many who knew and loved you dearly.
And then I realized
that to be
more alive
I had to
be less
afraid
so
I did it…
I lost my fear
and gained
my whole life.

Dear Kris. You left our world a better place for having known you. Your passionate contribution to nature and the environment will not be lost. Your joie to vivre… despite the challenges thrown at you… was second to none. Your intelligent, dry wit and wry but warm smile would brighten a room, which was usually full of your many friends. You had a genuineness seldom found. And then there was song… Our condolences are sent to your family. With fond love from Donna and Peggy (now deceased) Gaskill
