his beautiful tree lined cemetery is one of Brisbane City Council’s historic cemeteries founded in 1882. It is located approximately 13km from the city. Brookfield Cemetery is the final resting place for many of the early settling families in the Brookfield area, including Chinese gold miners from the late 1800’s.
Although there are no chapel facilities on site. Families can have the burial and committal service at the graveside first followed by a memorial service held in the hall directly across the road from the Cemetery grounds.

There are new burial sites and ash memorial areas available at Brookfield. Families with loved ones buried in the cemetery can bury ashes within existing graves.
Available burial sites are:

- interments within existing family graves
